Complying Development Certificates
In NSW there are processes whereby not all development proposals require a development approval through Council. In certain circumstances houses, granny flats, renovations and other structures can be approved through a process called complying development certificates.

There are also legislative processes to carry out minor development that may be classed as exempt development, meaning there is no approval whatever required.
